Furthermore, the Electoral Commission declared him winner following results that confirmed another five-year leadership mandate for the municipality today officially.

Accordingly, Ojara, running as an Independent candidate, secured 4,625 votes representing 49.97 percent of total ballots cast in Kitgum Municipality.

Meanwhile, the victory earned him the 2026 to 2031 mandate amid intense political competition locally during the mayoral race period.

Subsequently, results announced by Returning Officer Atim Betty Owot highlighted a closely fought three-way contest involving major political parties locally.

Meanwhile, Forum for Democratic Change candidate Oyoo Morish Santo finished second with 3,309 votes overall during the municipal elections held.

Similarly, National Resistance Movement flag bearer Raymond Ocan placed third after securing 788 votes according to official tally released later.

Notably, a total of 9,256 valid votes were recorded alongside rejected and spoiled ballots by the Electoral Commission officials present.
