Balmoi steven credits Juma jammie for elevating Numa awards

On a recent social media post a renown media personality Balmoi steven credit Juma Jammie,s relentless effort on uplifting Northern Uganda music awards (NUMA AWARDS).

The award that celebrates northern Uganda  music creative’s in different categories is being hosted today 1st January 2026

He relates to incidents where creatives were awarded only 200,000ugs  and accolades on its earlier days, “I have been associated with this brother Juma Jammie and NUMA since its inception, when winners were awarded a mere 200,000 shillings and accolades.”

He recognized Juma Jammie’s relentlessness, hard work and resilience even when times were hard.

NUMA has outlasted national music awards such as the Kampala-based Bell Lager Music Awards, which primarily offered just accolades, and remains the sole regional award in Uganda.

he acknowledged Juma jammies effort in elevating northern uganda music industry from an era where no attention was given to the industry stating that its impossible to discuss northern Uganda music without Juma Jammie.

It is impossible to discuss Northern Music without acknowledging Juma Jammie‘s indelible mark.”

The journalist further confirms that improvement’s will be made in the subsequent edition of the awards  and also acknowledges the unwavering love Juma Jammie has for the northern Uganda music industry .
