WALK Creative Arts Foundation has issued an open call to creatives across Northern Uganda to join its growing creative community and SACCO initiative aimed at economic empowerment.

Addressing artists, digital creators, and other creative professionals, the Foundation announced that it has already mobilized 1 billion shillings in SACCO funds, marking a significant milestone in supporting creatives through collective savings and access to credit.
Registration is currently ongoing at the Foundation’s offices, located opposite Gulu Independent Hospital. Interested members are required to pay a registration fee of UGX 130,000, which is deposited directly to Post Bank.
This amount covers: WALK membership fee (UGX 10,000), SACCO membership fee (UGX 20,000), Share contribution (UGX 100,000)

Each member is required to hold a minimum of two shares.
Members are encouraged to save weekly every Tuesday, with contributions starting from as low as UGX 10,000 or more.
One of the key benefits highlighted is access to credit, where members can borrow up to three times the amount they have saved, creating opportunities for growth, project development, and financial stability within the creative sector.

The message was delivered by Mr. Aboda Solomon, Chairperson of the WALK Creative Arts Foundation, who reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to welcoming creatives with open arms and building a sustainable future through unity and financial inclusion.
WALK Creative Arts Foundation continues to position itself as a strong platform for empowering creatives in Northern Uganda through arts, collaboration, and economic support.
